Poetry Workshop  Teens ages 11-17

Saturday April 20 10-11AM at Ripon Public Library 

Work with poet-in-residence at Ripon College, Sonya Lara, to create poetry. Sonya will share her wisdom and experience to help teens create some incredible poetry! For ages 11-17. No registration required.

Names carry a lot of meaning in our lives. In this poetry workshop, we’ll examine how attention to sound, the stories we were told growing up, and the places we’ve lived impact how we see and identify ourselves. Together, we’ll learn about lyrical literary devices, read some poetry, and write a poem of our own.
