Love My Library

The Love My Library Business Partnership invites local businesses to show their support for library renovations! Our exciting plans to transform the library’s indoor (Phase 1) and outdoor spaces (Phase 2) will make it a ‘showstopper’ location in downtown Ripon – a place that the entire community will use with pride and that will draw people to the area.

The total cost of phase one is $800,000. “We are thrilled to announce that we have now raised more than $675, 000 toward that goal,” said Mandy Kimes, Campaign Committee member and Chair of the Love My Library segment. She added, “We hope to close the gap so we can go to bid in September, avoid any cost increases, and have renovations completed before summer 2024.“ The interior renovations include a welcoming & efficient entryway, interactive play area for children, teen ‘hangout’ spot, expanded windows displaying a stunning view of Silver Creek, a new computer & study alcove, three additional enclosed collaboration spaces, & accessible family-friendly restrooms.

For a total gift of $2,000 (can be pledged over four years) a business receives prominent, long-term recognition in a highly appealing library location and in print & digital media. There are a limited number of Business Partnerships available.

Knuth Brewing Company was first to commit to the Love My Library Business Partner program! As a member of the campaign’s Honorary Committee, Dave Knuth supports the library, knowing of its impact on our downtown. We are excited to announce Farrell’s Fine Furnishings has also joined in the effort!

Averaging over 4,000 visitors per month, the library already brings people downtown. Studies show there are significant increases in library traffic, up to 40%, following renovations. Such improvements offer a solid return on investment with expected economic benefits for Ripon.
