DESCRIPTION:SUN OCT 1 KICKOFF | 8TH ANNUAL DICKENS DRESS-A-DOLL CONTEST | A
 GES 18+\nHere’s a creative way for everyone to get into the spirit of ho
 liday giving! Beginning Tuesday\, October 1st\, adults may pick up a doll 
 from the library. Please note that a refundable $10 deposit will be collec
 ted. Get busy designing and dressing the doll in handmade attire. Clothing
  and props may be sewn\, knit\, crocheted\, woven\, quilted\, appliqued\, 
 gathered from nature - be as creative as you wish! An exception to the han
 dmade rule is that footwear may be purchased. Return completed dolls to th
 e library on or before Tuesday\, October 31\, at which time the $10 deposi
 t will be refunded.\n“Dressed” dolls then go on display and the public
  is invited to vote for favorites with cash donations. From November 1st t
 hrough 24th the dolls will be displayed at BMO Harris Bank\, 333 Blackburn
  Street.  and from November 25th through December 8 at the Ripon Public L
 ibrary\, 120 Jefferson Street. Money raised is donated to local Food Pantr
 ies.\nAfter the contest\, dolls are donated to various community groups as
  holiday gifts for youth in need. The designer whose doll raises the most 
 donations receives a gift from BMO Harris.\nThis annual contest is sponsor
 ed by Annette Klein and BMO Harris Bank.
