Help Wanted: Library Page to work approximately 8 hours per week, evenings and weekends, at the Ripon Public Library. Candidates must be courteous, dependable, and energetic. Duties include shelving library materials, checking items in and out on a computerized system and helping people use the library. Lifting and carrying objects up to 40 pounds may be required. The Friends of the Ripon Public Library will be holding their semi-annual used book sale from April 12-14 in the basement of the library. Donations of used books pour in throughout the year, and thousands have arrived since the last sale. The mission of the Friends is to promote and support public resources and community programs at Ripon Public Library, and proceeds from the sale are used to support this mission. In the past year the Friends have donated funding for the adult, teen and children’s summer reading programs, Couponing 102, Dr. Seuss, books on CD, and more.

Enjoy 15 to 20 minutes of rhymes, lap bounces, songs, and simple stories to promote language learning in the very earliest stages of life.
Ages 2 & up
Wednesdays @ 10:15 a.m.
Through books, songs and other activities, storytime is designed to develop children's pre-literacy skills, as well as a love of language.
The library will be open regular hours from Monday, December 26 through Saturday, December 31. The library will be closed on Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2. - Donate a book in someone's name. Staff members are available to suggest titles, and a bookplate will be placed in the book. Cost: approximately $20-30, depending on the title.
- Give the gift of a lifetime membership in the Friends of the Ripon Public Library. Benefits include a newsletter mailed at least twice a year and free entry to the preview night of the book sale. Cost: $50/individual, $100/family. Yearly memberships are available for $5/individual and $10/family.
- Purchase a Friends of the Library book bag. Cost: $8.
- Select books from the book sale shelf. Cost: $1 per hardcover book or per 2 paperbacks.
